Admittedly, I typically have two sweeteners with every coffee. And today I decided to try it without the sweetener so I can get the “real” taste. It’s still good, but I gotta go back to my latest favorite: Kenya.

It’s interesting … but the taste is different between my Press and just the filtered coffee. And I decided I like Komodo Dragon filtered rather than in the Press.

I just found a Starbucks site where you can get a complimentary coffee sample: Starbucks Coffee at Home.
There are three coffee options available for the free sample, so click on:

Sumatra
Verona
House Blend

After I registered it said it would take 6 weeks or so to get my free sample — Sumatra!
Go to Starbucks Coffee at Home here!

Then after a recommendation from a local barista, I got started with Kenya . Now it’s definitely my new favorite.

It’s got a “citrus” taste and I don’t know if my subconscious just forced that into my tastebuds, but after I knew that I could taste it.

I also tried a little bit of orange juice in my French Press with my Kenya and that was a neat morning treat. I probably won’t do it all the time, but it was a good twist for the buds, who had about two bags of Kenya before that.

So after I bought my new coffee adventure — Ethiopian Sidomo — I ordered (or tried) a Tall Double Shot on Ice. From what the barista told me, it sounded a lot like an Americano.

It also has “classic Sweetener” in it … which he described as “sugar and water” … and it had some milk on the top I think.

Either way, it was pretty good …. a “delighhhhhhhtful” little beverage for the rest of the evening.
